Quickstep - Steve Weatherly

Steve Weatherly

My job is to support the business in a training and WHS role. I help build the skills and knowledge of our employees in a safe environment.

I choose to work with Quickstep because it’s a global aerospace manufacturing company. I emphasise aerospace as it’s an awesome industry to be in.

The biggest thing I’ve learned since starting here is to be flexible and adaptable – my previous roles have been in larger companies where you just stick to your job description. There is much more movement and potential in a smaller company.

Outside of work, I like to stay busy. I play the guitar and piano. I ride motorbikes, play golf and get in some surfing when the waves are good.

Simple things make me happy: knowing I have a great job, a roof over my head and a loving family to go home to. I consider myself a lucky man.

I wish people knew: I used to play the bagpipes in a band! I’m also the VP and head coach at Macarthur Magic Special Needs Football (soccer) Club.
