Putting people first
I have a background in HR and Industrial Relations. After high school, I was confused about what career I wanted to have and at one stage I thought I might like to have a career in a medical field such as paramedic or paediatrician, but I wasn’t sure how I would cope with the downside of those roles. I knew I wanted to help people and fell into HR at university, but it definitely suits me.
There are times when I need to support staff and managers through hard times in life or their career – but sometimes the hardest cases end in the greatest rewards.
Solutions at home – and work
One of my interests is finding non-toxic solutions for my family and I do this by creating natural alternatives using essential oils. I love providing for my family, but I couldn’t do that in a job that didn’t challenge me and allow me to grow professionally.
With two young children, I love coming home after a busy day knowing I work for a company that encourages me, supports me and allows me to grow. I feel a great sense of achievement finding solutions that work for everyone.
