R&D

Innovation is a cornerstone of Quickstep and we continue to invest in research and development (R&D) to enhance our position in the defence and commercial aerospace sectors.

This includes the development and commercialisation of new and improved process technologies and advanced manufacturing practices, to ensure that we can provide world-class advanced composite solutions to our customers.

Our internal capabilities and expertise include advanced manufacturing processes and materials, enabling us to develop innovative, highly automated production solutions, with a focus on OOA (out of autoclave) technologies.

To fast track our R&D, Quickstep is collaborating with educational, commercial and government entities in the aerospace and automotive industries. Examples of this include the co-location of our global R&D and technology centre at Deakin University’s Geelong campus in Victoria and the undertaking of demonstrator projects to solve customer production rate problems, through the development of unique production solutions.
