I’m a production scheduler here at Quickstep. I’m involved in production planning and I prepare schedules for the JSF autoclave oven. I recently returned from maternity leave and it’s fantastic that the company has been so supportive.
I’m with the production engineering team here at Quickstep and I manage our manufacturing and industrial engineers. I’ve been involved with aviation my whole career. I love working in composites, working in aerospace – and I love the team here at Quickstep.
I was the laboratory manager at Bankstown, where I manage two laboratory technicians and a process engineer. We undertake product testing and investigations for quality improvement – and we support the implementation of new materials and processes.
I’m a design engineer working on new technology projects in our Geelong facility. I studied aerospace engineering in Germany, which doesn’t have its shortage of engineering jobs, but I fell in love with Australia on a trip here.
My Quickstep journey began in mid 2016 when I started a role as a technical planner – my first job out of university. Within a year I was offered a leadership role, and I now lead a team of engineers who support the production floor.
I am the site and maintenance manager at Quickstep. I look after the buildings and equipment on site. This includes repairs and maintenance of building and equipment through to supporting capital acquisitions.
I work on the Hercules C130 program. In my job, I need to stay on top of things. I support managers and I make sure jobs are allocated to team members, so that we meet schedules and deadlines.
I am a program manager here at Quickstep and I manage the manufacturing operations for all programs – including Lockheed, Northrop, Marand and Boeing customers. My daily tasks include tracking programs in regards to schedule, budget and phase review objectives; developing and implementing recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities; and I coordinate with customers to provide necessary program status and obtain customer feedback.
I manage the production engineering support team. We provide technical solutions for problems across the entire business, but Operations are always our number one customer. I really enjoy the camaraderie within the entire Quickstep team.
Fabio is Quickstep’s quality manager, heading a team that works to ensure that all production and processes meet engineering specifications and are fully compliant with mandatory requirements.
I’m an industrial engineer and every day I support operations with daily production challenges – as well as investigating and finding ways to improve processes. I’m always looking for innovative ways to make us more efficient.
I'm a quality engineer with Quickstep, where I work to ensure compliance with customer specifications and engineering requirements. This involves conducting audits, part inspections and the implementation of corrective actions to manage non-conforming product.
I’m new to Quickstep and work in the HR team. I partner and coach managers to resolve people problems and design and implement solutions and initiatives which support our company's people strategy. It’s a people job with lots of challenges and rewards.
As procurement manager for Quickstep, I both source materials for the business and set up strategic partnerships with suppliers. It means you need to be across all aspects of the business – and be good with people.
I am leading a double life. On weekdays, I work in the aerospace industry, a super exciting fast-paced environment. I make sure everything is planned, purchased delivered and shipped on time. I’m all about the details.
I’m responsible for all things commercial at Quickstep. That includes strategy, contracts, pricing and business cases, amongst other things. I am primarily fuelled by coffee. Once that is happily flowing through my veins, it is learning new things that excites me.
I’m a manufacturing operator and I primarily do kitting, which is cutting the pieces to size in preparation for the layout people. It might sound repetitive, but every day is different and there’s always something new to learn. I’ve got a great opportunity working here.
I am a Production Engineer here at Quickstep. My role involves a large variety of tasks, but my main focus is supporting production. I have a passion for composites and advanced manufacturing and I love a challenge. When I’m under pressure to find a solution and working to a deadline, it definitely keeps the blood pumping.
I work as a trainee in NDT (non-destructive testing). I am training to perform manual and machine checks to make sure each part is right. It’s about both safety and quality – making sure every part is completed perfectly.
My job is to support the business by introducing new technology. It can be for a product, a process or even a piece of equipment. My job is a great fit for me because I love new things - a new challenge or opportunity to learn something new each day and I’m happy.
As a cost estimator and production engineer, I have the opportunity to work with many different groups across the business. In the cost estimating role, I evaluate engineering drawings and specifications from customers, working out the costs.
My role at Quickstep is to develop and support continuous improvement opportunities and projects. Professionally, I’m excited by working in an ever-changing environment. The people here are fantastic. I really appreciate working with people who are focused on improving systems.
I am responsible for multiple production lines across Quickstep, including advanced composite layup, NDT, machining and assembly for customers such as Northrop Grumman, BAE, Lockheed Martin and Boeing. There's a lot of variety and many challenges – which is great.
I’m a spray painter here at Quickstep. I prepare, sand and paint all the components. What do I like about Quickstep? I love that every day is different, and that it’s such a supportive environment.
