TEAM LEADER
I’m a team leader here at Quickstep – and I work on the Hercules C130 program. In my job, I need to stay on top of things. I support managers and I make sure jobs are allocated to team members, so we meet schedules and deadlines. There’s always something new, too. I love trying out new programs and new ideas. I love learning. It’s an exciting place to be.
Working my way up
Before Quickstep I worked with Boeing. When it closed, I found a job here at Quickstep in production and I’ve worked my way up to be team leader.
I’ve done some courses along the way, too. I like being hands on, working each day and thinking about ways to improve what I do. And I thrive on being busy. I’ve been with the aircraft industry now for 22 years and it’s fantastic.
Positive environments
I love life. Every day is a new beginning. At home I love spending time in the garden, where I grow orchids and African violets. I love spending time with family and friends. And I love spending time with the people here at work. Everyone is so friendly and it’s such a supportive team. It’s like a second family.
Quickstep is the best thing I’ve stumbled across. I’ve even referred four candidates to Quickstep. And that’s because it’s just somewhere that I really enjoy coming to each day.
