Quickstep - Andrew K

Andrew Karpinski

MANUFACTURING OPERATOR

I’m a manufacturing operator and I primarily do kitting, which is cutting the pieces to size in preparation for the layup people. It might sound repetitive, but every day is different and there’s always something new to learn. I’ve got a great opportunity working here.

Chances to learn

I love learning new things and trying new things. I really like cooking, so at home that might mean whipping up new things in the kitchen. Quickstep gives you plenty of chances to learn new skills, too. All new manufacturing operators are given the chance to study, and I’m currently completing a Polymer Processing Traineeship at TAFE.

Flying high

I’ve always been interested in aircraft and I’d started some mechatronic engineering at university before moving onto other things. I love that I’m back in an area I’m really interested in and it could definitely be the stepping stone to a future career.

I think it’s important to have a good work ethic, and that’s so much easier when you want to be here. Working at Quickstep is not just enjoyable, it’s a great experience.
