ANDY MILLER

ANDREW MILLER | PRODUCT ENGINEEER

The R&D team have applied Quickstep’s patented technology to process the complex 3D geometry of a composite automotive fender, to demonstrate improved part quality while reducing curing times and capital infrastructure in line with customer requirements.  My role involved developing the part and tooling designs to increase thermal transfer evenly throughout the part, and ensuring full pressure transfer to improve consolidation and reduced porosity. Our trials produced parts demonstrating both reduced cycle times and porosity compared to equivalent autoclave production parts.”
