The Quickstep Advanced Composites Manufacturing ProcessThe Quickstep Process can use thermoset pre-pregs with epoxy, phenolic, rubber toughened phenolic and vinyl ester resins, as well as wet resin/dry fibre and metal adhesives and fibre-metal laminates. Certain reactive thermoplastics are also candidates for Quickstep. These parts have or are expected to demonstrate by the end of the development and resin 'tweaking' program, superior performance to autoclave, vacuum and atmospheric curing methods in terms of strength, stiffness, peel, glass transition temperature, surface finish, appearance and low void content.
