Manufacturing textile structures via weaving, braiding and tow placement Composite manufacture via a variety of techniques to evaluation, including:
- Quickstep QS5 machine and several sized curing chambers
- Microwave curing
- Resin Transfer Moulding
- The European Quickstep Centre of Excellence (EQCE) is based at NWCC.
Technical capabilities
NWCC is particularly well equipped for evaluation of materials and have a range of equipment including:
- X-ray tomography
- A coordinate measurement system
- Electron optics Standard characterization, such as void content, fibre content, mechanical properties, c scan
