Quickstep GmbH is located on the EADS Corporate Research & Development facility in Ottobrunn, Germany, just outside Munich. The facility is equipped with a fully commissioned QS20 Quickstep machine and curing frames up to 2.0 m x 5.0 m. Clean room facilities and associated processes are provided by EADS under contract.
In early 2007, the Quickstep GmbH has signed a Cooperation and Development Agreement with Eurocopter Deutschland. One goal is the qualification of the Quickstep process for selected helicopter parts.
The main focus of the German site is the commercialization of the Quickstep Process. Many different projects were already started and near completion. E.g., first prototypes for Airbus GmbH, site Laupheim are produced inside Quickstep GmbH since September 2007. [Further information]
Quickstep GmbH is member of different national and international communities (e.g., Carbon Composites e.V. or Sampe) and is establishing its position as a SME in Germany.
