Quickstep offers composite materials engineering, advanced composite manufacturing and plant solutions for the manufacture of advanced composite components. The Company has a state-of-the-art composites manufacturing facility at its headquarters in North Coogee, near Perth in Western Australia and Centres of Excellence in Germany, the UK and the USA.
Quickstep was founded in 2001 to commercialise the unique ‘Quickstep Process' - an innovative fluid-based curing technology that significantly reduces the cost and time involved in the production of composites compared with conventional autoclave curing techniques.
Quickstep now has a fully integrated suite of composite advanced composite component manufacturing solutions, offering a full scale aerospace grade manufacturing facility using autoclave and Quickstep Processing, as well as a range of Quickstep Plant solutions to help customers integrate the ‘Quickstep Process' into their own specific manufacturing model. To help our customers see the benefits of the Quickstep manufacturing process in action, Quickstep has established showcase sites - our Quickstep Centres of Excellence - in strategic locations around the world. In addition to our headquarters in North Coogee, Western Australia, the Company now has demonstration centres in the United States (Dayton, Ohio), the United Kingdom (Manchester), Germany (Ottobrunn) and Australia (Geelong, Victoria).
Global alliances are also in place with major international advanced materials suppliers such as Toray Composites (in the USA and Japan) and German-based industrial chemicals and performance materials giant Evonik Industries (formerly Degussa AG), alongside R&D and Applications Development Agreements with groups such as the Victorian Centre for Advanced Materials Manufacturing (VCAMM) and the Australian National University.
